Monday was the day for the road teams. There was something like 10 games yesterday and all the road teams except one game and that was the Coyotos, who we gave up the goal-and-a-half for +240 odds, which made up ground on the Ottawa and Atlanta picks. Tonight there are a ton of hockey games and here is what I like:

3 more big wins last night so we are now 10-2 in our last 12 picks and were able to take down 2 big +170 wins and a +140 wins. That’s how you have to get ahead in hockey. When you see a team that dominates at home against a weak opponent, don’t be afraid to lay the goal-and-a-half, they’ll either lose and if you laid -170 on the moneyline, you’ll get hurt, but if you laid 100 and gave up the points, you took down a nice +170 profit. I didn’t give up the points in Chicago vs. Boston for a reason and that was a 6-5 OT win. That’s because Boston is a solid club, but Chicago just dominates at home. But with Sabres vs. Leafs and Sharks vs. Ducks, I was very confident that they would dominate the games. A handful of hockey games today.

I’m not crazy about today’s card. I don’t want to take 3 road teams with my 4 picks, but all these these road teams have been hot and the opponents have been playing pretty flat. You’re also getting the games at pretty decent odds.

It’s December and now we really get into the hockey season.  There are 4 games tonight and I only like 1 game.

1.) MONTREAL -140 over Toronto — I love betting against the Maple Leafs.  They’re hockey’s worst team behind the Hurricanes, so you get a good chance to take the Canadiens at a pretty decent price.

I also like the CHICAGO -250 over Columbus and SAN JOSE -200 over Ottawa, but at those high prices, I just think the line is too steep there. I also think Los Angeles +115 is the underdog that has the best chance tonight against a subpar ANAHEIM team.
