Washinton (-115) at Phoenix
Posted by Vegas Martin in NHL Picks on October 22nd, 2008 | Comment »Wahsington suffered a tough loss on Monday as they failed to take advantage of several oppportunities. However, tonight should be a different story. Phoenix tends to come out flat as they average less than a goal in both of the first two periods while giving up over a goal in all periods. Washington tends to jump out on top as the are averaging at least one goal in every period. If Washington can take advantage of more of those opportunities they create throughout the game, then they should get back on track with a win. A critical aspect of the game will be if Washington can turn their poor powerplay effort so far around. Phoenix is tough on the powerplay, but I think Washington will be much more focused and play a better overall game.
